"Down by the Old New Jersey Shore"

Ocean City, just south of Atlantic City, is very family-friendly.

It was as fun place for William and Jonathan to experience the ocean for the first time.

William took to it quickly, running with abandon, chasing the waves

and the birds

and playing with the sand.

Little toes peeking out!

Jonathan enjoyed roaming the beach, checking out all of the occupants, climbing up into many an unoccupied beach chair.

But he was pretty wary of the surf (running from the waves like a sandpiper on his little legs).

I love this shot because of the little footprints in the sand.

Eventually, though, he decided he liked it, and we had to drag them both away from the water when it was time to go.

We ate an absolutely delicious dinner at an italian restaurant on the boardwalk, and sampled some frozen custard before heading back to the car. A sign at the exit to the parking lot read, "Shore hope you had fun. Nice to sea you." We shore did enjoy the Jersey Shore!
