William's School and William's Walk

Last Tuesday, we went to William's school for a little performance and award ceremony. We watched him sing a couple of songs with his classmates. He received a certificate for completing this year of preschool. Then he was awarded the title of "The Explorer" for the year. (They didn't say this, but I'm sure he often "took off" to explore places they did not intend for him to go.) So, his theme this year could be, "To boldly go where no William has gone before."

Here he is with his occupational therapists

and his speech therapist.

Saturday, we attended the United Angels Foundation's Walk With Angels in Lehi.
We wore fun hats to be part of William's Wild Kingdom. William wouldn't wear his (go figure), but you can see he's happy to be there. The balloon arch behind us in this picture is where the walk began and ended. We just walked around a couple of blocks.

We were surprised and delighted to be joined by Sarah, Gavin, Gwen and Chloe! We also owe a special thanks to our friends Estelle and Jeff Cake who sponsored William for this walk all the way from Virginia!

Sparkly Pals (William's dance group) performed just following the walk. This picture was taken afterward, when I was getting him un-sparklied so he could go play on the playground. Here is a video clip of the last part of William's first dance number. He's the second from the left:
