Wasatch Chorale

My season in the Wasatch Chorale has come to an close. It was fun to sing beautiful music with a lot of people I know and love.

Singing in such a beautiful place was fun too. Here Susie and I are showing off the organ from our risers in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

Here's one last picture with our director, Dyanne Riley, taken at our final concert last night. (I took a lot of shots of her as a choir historian back when I sang under her in Women's Chorus at BYU.)

A lot of the chorale members were in the area singles choir David and I sang in before we were married. Some I knew from my former wards in Orem. Marilyn Grob is a good friend of my family from when we lived in Pleasant Grove when I was little.

And some I knew from BYU. My longtime friend, Susie Record, and I have shared a love for singing ever since we met at the Y. But this is the first time we've been in a choir together. And to add to the fun, we even got to sit/stand next to each other! This photo was taken after our concert on Temple Square Saturday night.

I met new friends to boot, and enjoyed riding to and from rehearsals with one of my favorite people in our neighborhood, Beth Taylor. We talked and laughed. I love her absolutely to pieces.

All of this fun was thanks to David who watched the kids while I went to rehearsals and concerts; and my cousin, Marietta Williams, who felt I needed to sing in this choir and so helped make it financially possible. I'm grateful to Gayla, too, for coming to see me perform. Thank you, all!
