'Becca here again. Melissa tagged me to write a list similar to one I found on Cally's site and filled out for David and I together. This version has a question or two that the other didn't...and this time I get to give all my own answers!

8 Things That Happened Yesterday
1. I and the boys webcam-ed briefly with Grampa and Gramma in Panama.
2. It was Fast Sunday. We were late for church. I was frazzled due to my lack of planning (plus David couldn't help because he was in meetings all morning.) It was raining when we arrived. While David was getting Jonathan out of the van, William threw one of his socks out past them (he has a good arm) into the rain. David put the soggy sock back into the van and went ahead with Jonathan into church. We have a kind of sock graveyard in the van from past outings, so I selected a dry pair and put them on William. When I looked for Wil's shoes I found that he had thrown one to the opposite door, out of my reach. I walked around the van, but couldn't get in (David had locked up.) I walked back around to the van to unlock the doors, then once again to retrieve the vagrant shoe. When I opened the sliding door and grabbed the shoe, William tossed one of the dry socks, that I'd just put on him, over my shoulder into the rain. I'm afraid I melted down at that point. I took the shoe and the most recently sogged sock back around to the passenger side, got in, closed the doors, and had a good cry. Once David realized I'd never made it out of the van, he brought me Jonathan because he had to fill in at the recorder's station up at the front of the chapel. As I sat there, still teary, Jonathan squirming on my lap, so close to being "at church" and yet still so far, I decided I couldn't possibly make it to any of the meeting without help. SO I took Jonathan in, walking all the way through the chapel, and placed him in the lap of the boys' darling 'sitter, Amy Ebert (asking her if I could please borrow her), and then went back out for William, putting the dry sock from each pair on him (I don't think anyone ever noticed that they didn't quite match.) We joined Amy and her brother Chris (a good sport under the circumstances) for the rest of the meeting. David had placed the diaper bag somewhere at the back in the overflow so we improvised with hymn books, things Amy had collected in her scriptures from seminary, a toy passed from the Drapers in front of us, and a package of fruit snacks from Sister Whiting behind us. By the end of the meeting I no longer felt like crying.
3. Enjoyed playing primary songs on the piano.
4. Had a wonderful experience listening to Sister Cherry's well-prepared and powerfully-delivered sharing time presentation.
