The Open Window

This is a follow-up to last year's post on Changes (http://mostnoblehouseofblack.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html).

To sum up (we've shared details on our blogs all along the way), Philadelphia was a wonderful experience for all of us, and fruitful for David. Back in Utah, David worked at building his own videography and video editing business. (Business wasn't slow but, due to the economy, not as lucrative as he'd hoped.) He returned to Philadelphia earlier this year to present at the National Science Teachers Conference, where he was able to network and gain valuable input. He was not awarded the National Science Foundation grant he hoped for (this year at least. He can try for it again next year.) He has continued to work on the Elements Unearthed project and see it gain some attention online, both here in the states and in other countries. However, since funding would not be coming our way this year, he started into some serious job hunting. Science teachers traditionally have been in demand, but David started his job search just as teachers in Utah and across the country were losing their jobs by the tens of thousands. He's been working hard to apply for any and all positions that could make use of his abilities.

Today we are looking out of the window that we trusted God would open when the door of David's full-time employment closed last May: http://elementsunearthed.com/2010/06/30/a-new-base-of-operations/

We feel so blessed, and amazed at how well Heavenly Father worked things out for us. We have felt His blessings during all these past months of financial uncertainty. Thank you for the support that so many of you have given us in a variety of ways. We've been poor in income but rich in blessings, and very happy. Love you all!

P.S. It was great to see you at the wedding! Wouldn't it be great to have a family reunion one of these years?? :)
