6 Things I Value and 6 Things I Don't

'Becca here. I've been tagged by Melissa Mears. (Thank you for thinking of me, Missy! Can I call you Missy? I enjoyed your list by the way.) I'm to list 6 things I value, 6 things I don't, and 6 people I'm tagging to do the same.

Things I Value:

1. The opportunity to make mistakes. To learn and grow, and still make it Home because of the Savior.

2. I don't know how I'd make it through life without prayer. It is wonderful to know that someone is around who knows me, thinks I'm cooler than I think I am even though he's absolutely perfect, doesn't give up on me, and gives me the help I need from moment to moment as long as I ask Him and let Him.

3. The ties that bind/relationships that really last. I grew up in a family that moved a lot with the Air Force. I appreciate friendships that outlast changes in location and circumstance. I belong to a large family. It is important to me to build and maintain strong ties to family, whether it be immediate family, extended family, or family that waits beyond the veil.

4. Getting to be married! I was married at 32. And it was so worth the wait.

5. Being a mom! I've been reminding myself in the midst of my challenges with motherhood that I really am living the life I always wanted! It makes a difference when I rejoice in getting to do it rather than despair at not being as good at it as I'd like.

6. The arts, and the opportunity for musical expression.

Things I Don't Value:

1. creepy crawlies. I don't even like hearing them mentioned. Pest control is a basic necessity at our house.

2. hard water deposits on the windows. How does one even get those off?

3. not being given a chance. I want to have good relations, even VERY good relations, with everyone I know, and if I mess up I REALLY want to be able to fix it.

4. a lot of pressure. I don't think I'm one of those individuals who works very well under pressure.

5. Phone solicitation. It's mostly because it's practically an olympic feat for us to get to the phone on time (the only line that works is downstairs and we have all sorts of barricades upstairs to keep the kids contained.) To have it not be someone who loves us on the other line when we pick up is disappointing...it doesn't feel like it's worth the extra effort it took us to get there.

6. really heavy metal (music I mean)

People Who Can Consider Themselves Tagged (if they even read this):
1. Kristine Memmott
2. Michelle Niederhauser
3. Wendy Nixon
4. Christine Boren
5. Carrie Leavitt
6. Kimmy Rowe
